It's no secret that out of all the upcoming MCU films, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was the project that experienced one hell of a rollercoaster ride. From Chadwick Boseman's shocking and untimely death in 2020 to all the major production delays brought upon not only by the pandemic but Letitia Hardy's injury, it seemed like luck wasn't on the sequel's side. Thankfully, it was confirmed two weeks ago that the anticipated film has already wrapped filming and as it stands, Marvel Studios is in post-production mode.

Interestingly, a beloved Marvel Cinematic Universe actor confirmed that Wakanda Forever has finished filming and his latest remark seems to indicate some sort of involvement in the project. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier star Anthony Mackie spoke with E! News during the Grammys red carpet and revealed juicy details about the film's production status.

Confirming that Black Panther 2 has wrapped, Mackie hyped up the film by saying that it's going to be "amazing" and "spectacular". He also revealed that he was on the set of the MCU epic but clarified that he's not part of the cast. He said: "I'm very excited to say that [Black Panther: Wakanda Forever] just wrapped filming. It's gonna be amazing, it's going to be spectacular. I am not [in it], but I've seen—I've been there, I've witnessed. I'm very excited for everybody to see Black Panther 2. It's in the can, it's in the coming out, it's done."

Mackie may have denied it, but his remarks seem to hint that we could see the new Captain America in action in the anticipated film. It does make sense when you think about it considering Sam Wilson owes so much to the Wakandans who were responsible for giving him his updated suit and mechanical wings.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is currently slated to hit cinemas on November 11, 2022.
