Ant-Man and The Wasp Concept Art Features Comic-Accurate A.I.M. Agents

Considering that it came out after Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-ManandThe Wasp ended up being better than many expected. Filled with creative action scenes and good laughs, this will likely go down as one of the most underrated Marvel movies. However, like all movies, some ideas and pitches didn't make it to the final cut, including this really neat one with comic book-accurate A.I.M. agents.

Ian Joyner, a freelance concept artist, showed off some art for a pitch in the film that ended up getting scrapped. The scene, as Joyner describes, has Ant-Man returning from the Quantum Realm and bringing one of the area's unique creatures with him. Lang would then unleash the creature, called Tardrigade, on the A.I.M. agents.

While cool in concept, it's easy to see why they didn't end up using this concept. A.I.M. was last seen in Iron Man 3 and it would have been hard to incorporate them into the story. Maybe they could have been nameless mooks but having them in the yellow beekeeper look would make fans associate them with the comic book terrorist group.

Recently finishing its theatrical run, expect to see Ant-Man and The Wasp get a digital and Blu-Ray release in the next few months.
