Kento Discovers Anna’s Daemonium Sand-Like Particle in My Daemon

There are different types of daemon, but one in particular stood out the most in My Daemon, and that is Anna, the storage daemon.

After the nuclear disaster that hit Japan, Kento discovered Anna’s daemonium particle glowing in the grass. He decided to take it home for observation, and it started to grow day by day.

Eventually, the daemonium particle turned into a four-legged daemon that resembled a dog.

He named it Anna due to the sound it makes, and since then, the two have been inseparable despite judgment and discrimination from most people.

Thankfully, Kento’s mother was not one to discriminate since she allowed his son to keep Anna even after her son’s class presentation was finished.

As a storage daemon, Anna can store objects in a shared space with other storage daemons. At first, Anna could only store small objects, but gradually, she managed to bring bigger things, including human beings.

At a glance, no one would think that Anna would be a very powerful daemon.

She is light and small, unlike other daemons with menacing features such as the Balloon Daemon, the Scissors Daemon, and even the Shield Daemon, Igisu.

As the plot unfolds, Anna gradually gets stronger, not only for herself but also for Kento. She became the target of the Peace Organization’s founder, who wants to exact vengeance for his missing daughter.

In the past, a storage daemon made an entire island disappear, and this incident was what pushed the founder to hunt Anna from all corners of Japan.

Anna and Kento’s Adventures From Tokyo to Kyushu in My Daemon

Anna and Kento struggled a lot on their journey from Tokyo to Kyushu.

From facing a daemon who can make everything invisible to a humongous spider-like daemon, Anna and Kento have seen everything post-apocalyptic Japan can offer.

Their adventure started when Kento’s mother died after a daemon user tried to take Anna away from Kento.

Upon hearing about the time daemon who can turn back time in Kyushu, Kento decided to go on a journey with Anna to bring her mother back to life.

What was waiting for the tandem were not only dangerous daemons but also humans who wanted to seize Anna for a million-dollar reward.

Throughout the journey, Kento witnessed how people can change over time as long as there’s money involved.

Their greed drives them to harm other people, including innocent daemons who only want to coexist peacefully with humans.

The little journey of Anna and Kento to Kyushu got bigger as more people and daemons got involved.

Whenever Kento gets injured, Anna’s emotions become unstable, forcing her to undergo an evolution. It is similar to Pokemon evolution in that Anna gets bigger and gets even more powerful.

She’s not what she used to be, but surprisingly, she can return to her normal state.

After changing forms, Anna can produce countless portals where she can store humans and objects alike.

She can store an entire island or building in another space and bring it back. She uses this ability to fight against Spider-Oh, Kokonoe, and even the Restoration Daemon.

While Anna can’t talk, she is more human-like than other daemons. She can understand Kento and his feelings, as well as his dreams and aspirations.

She prioritizes Kento, as shown in the episode where she decides to get away from him to not cause any more misfortune.

By the end of My Daemon, Anna and Kento’s story reminds people of the possibility of a peaceful coexistence between daemons and humans.

Not only did they manage to defeat the restoration daemon and save Japan, but they also managed to change the Peace Organization’s cause.

Humans have always discriminated against daemons for different reasons, not to mention using them against their will with a collar that can inflict electric bolts.

As a result, daemons began to hate humans to the extent that they could kill them or eat them alive as soon as they removed the collar.

In a divided society, Anna and Kento’s story, albeit short, inspired other people to become more accepting of daemons.
