One Sailor Moon fan gave a shoutout to her favorite anime in the game show Jeopardy by showing the titular character's iconic sign pose.
Contestant Mary Ann Borer made the Sailor Moon sign pose to celebrate her previous day's winnings in Jeopardy, and host Alex Trebek even made the iconic anime pose.
After winning Monday's show, Borer was introduced on Tuesday as the previous day's winner, and she makes the same sign pose that Sailor Moon's Usagi makes when she transforms into the titular heroine.
Host Alex Trebek even put the peace sign to his forehead and asked Borer where it came from. Borer tells him that it's from the popular anime Sailor Moon, to which Trebek responds, "Of course!" Maybe Jeopardy should have a whole show focused on just anime topics.
Created by Naoko Takeuchi, Sailor Moon was first published for Nakayoshi Magazine in 1991. The show popularized the magical girl sub-genre.
