Amy Adams Says DCEU is Veering Away from Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel

DC fans might be holding on to the hopes of seeing Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star Henry Cavill return to the DC Extended Universe to reprise his role as DC's Man of Steel, but it seems like the Amy Adams believes that Warner Brothers may be moving away from Cavill's version of Superman.

Speaking in an interview with Empire (via Fandom) Adams was asked whether she'd be open to returning to the DCEU to reprise her role as Lois Lane. While the actress was candid in saying that she would be "totally open" to returning to the comic book movie franchise, she isn't holding out any hope for a reprisal because Warner Brothers is now steering away from Cavill's version of the Man of Steel.

"I think (the studio is) moving in a different direction, from my understanding," the actress told the entertainment news outlet.

This is pretty heartbreaking news. While Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice received mixed reviews from fans, the fanbase found Cavill to be quite the suitable Superman for DC. Now, this new report seemingly confirms the news run in 2018 when word broke out that Warner Brothers failed to properly renegotiate the terms of a new contract with the actor.

Though separate camps denied the claim, no one really came forward with the truth from behind the scenes. Cavill still insists that he's DC's Superman though, and there are rumors going around that DC is planning to make a Black Adam vs. Superman movie, so let's just wait and see.
