American Horror Story Spinoff Announced

While American Horror Story is already an anthology on its own, showrunner Ryan Murphy is actually set to bring a spinoff to the franchise, and this time it will tell standalone stories per episode.

In a recent IG post, Murphy had announced that he and the cast were working on a spinoff called… American Horror Stories. Here's the post:

We don't have any official details on the show yet, but Murphy does say that they are "One hour-contained episodes" which pretty much explains it. I don't think the main cast will be involved though, since they'll be too busy working on the main show, but then again, the project is probably still in early stages so we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

The tenth season of the show as supposed to debut later this year, but like many other productions, shooting had to be cancelled because of the COVID-19 outbreak. So far, we don't have any idea on when productions can resume, and with this lockdown still looking to extend by months, it's possible that the 10th season won't be able to make its intended release date. Then again, things could change, so we should just keep posted.

Since 2011, American Horror Story has managed to remain a show with a solid following and has attracted numerous talents from Zachary Quinto to Emma Roberts. While last season's theme embraced the 80s decade of horror films, we have yet to get the theme for the 10th season.

American Horror Story Season 10 is expected to premiere this fall.
