Amber Heard's Training Photo for Aquaman 2 Being Questioned for Authenticity

It's no secret that fans have mixed feelings about Amber Heard but whether or not you're on her side, it can't be denied that she's being treated like a hot commodity in the entertainment industry. The actress confirmed last year that she's indeed returning as Mera for Aquaman 2 despite online rumors claiming that she's been booted out of the sequel amid her legal battle with her former husband Johnny Depp.

This week, the actress hyped up her appearance in the sequel by posting an image of herself training in a gym. However, the post is now being questioned for authenticity and one YouTuber claims Amber's post isn't actually a latest image of herself. The Umbrella Guy points out that the "new" image the actress posted was actually an old photo from 2017 during the first Aquaman film's pre-production.

He even posted a video posting side-by-side images to prove that they're virtually the same. The video he uploaded also claims to be proof that the controversial star has actually been fired by Warner Bros. ahead of Aquaman 2's production which kicks off this Summer. Watch the video here:



To be fair, the post may have been a throwback image and the actress just forgot to mention it which led to a lot of people believing she was already gearing up for Aquaman 2. Still, there's no reason to make a huge deal out of it because clearly, it's still Amber in the picture and she's in fact returning as Mera in the DCEU.


Meanwhile, No official release date has been set for Aquaman 2.
