Amber Heard Reportedly Requests Junking of Defamation Lawsuit Verdict

It's been over a month since Amber Heard lost the multi-million defamation lawsuit Johnny Depp filed against her and while a lot of people are ready to move forward, it's evident that Amber still feels like she has a score to settle with her former husband.

If you may recall, the Aquaman actress reportedly had her sights set on appealing the verdict, insisting on her innocence despite the fact that the court found sufficient evidence that backs up Depp's allegations.

Well, as one would expect, the drama between Amber and Johnny is far from over. In fact, it's being renewed. According to a report from The Guardian, the 36-year-old star's attorneys are filing for Johnny's $50 million defamation verdict to be dropped.

The outlet reports that Amber wrote a 43-page memorandum requesting the jury’s verdict to be junked. Elaine Bredehoft, one of the actress' attorneys stated in a motion that the Pirates of the Caribbean actor "proceeded solely on a defamation by implication theory, abandoning any claims that Ms. Heard’s statements were actually false".

With Amber's career seemingly down the drain, her loss to Depp is a major blow to the actress' personal life, and if the recent reports are to be believed, Heard no longer has the financial means to pay the $10 million she owes her ex-husband. As for her latest attempt to clear her name, only time will tell whether or not the court actually gives her appeal a chance but that's a stretch.

Amber Heard's potential last project, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom has been rescheduled to March 17, 2023.
