Jordan Peele has certainly come a long way since directing Get Out. Besides his work on upcoming film Us, he's also rebooting The Twilight Show. The series is set to come out this April, and we have our first full trailer.
I have to say, the show looks amazing, and you can even see some of Peele's style come out of the trailer. It's said that the show will be reworking some classic stories from the past as well as come up with its own original episodes. For example, the episode which stars Adam Scott, Nightmare at 30,000 Feet, is a remake of a classic episode which starred William Shatner.
It's worth noting that a lot of the actors in the trailer seem to be following Peele's steps, moving from comedy to something more serious. In the trailer, you have the likes of Adam Scott (Parks and Recreation), Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley), and Tracy Morgan (30 Rock). Ike Barinholtz and John Cho are also some other names that will be popping up in the series.
With the rise of shows like Black Mirror and American Horror Stories, I think The Twilight Zone will find a new audience with this day and age. The nice thing about it is how much more freedom it has, as compared to Black Mirror which will only allow for stories with cautionary tales about technology.
