Amazing Final Trailer For Valerian and The City of A Thousand Planets

STX Entertainment has finally released Luc Besson's sci-fi adventure epic film Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. This one of the most visually-stunning trailers I've seen in recent years, and it looks like this will end up in my list of favorite science fiction films ever made when it comes out. Its universe, society, alien species, and characters all look wonderful, and the action sequences look super spectacular. In the trailer, we learn that Valerian (Dane DeHaan) and Laureline (Cara Delevingne) have a limited time to eliminate a deadly threat. I had to watch this trailer multiple times because of how amazing it looks.

This is an adaptation of a graphic novel by Pierre Christin and Jean-Claude Mézi. Watch the trailer below:

Synopsis:

In the 28th century, Valerian (Dane DeHaan) and Laureline (Cara Delevingne) are a team of special operatives charged with maintaining order throughout the human territories. Under assignment from the Minister of Defense, the two embark on a mission to the astonishing city of Alpha—an ever-expanding metropolis where species from all over the universe have converged over centuries to share knowledge, intelligence and cultures with each other. There is a mystery at the center of Alpha, a dark force which threatens the peaceful existence of the City of a Thousand Planets, and Valerian and Laureline must race to identify the marauding menace and safeguard not just Alpha, but the future of the universe.

The film also stars Clive Owen, Rihanna, Ethan Hawke, Herbie Hancock, Kris Wu, and Rutger Hauer.

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets hits theaters on July 21, 2017.
