After her skyrocketing fame in All of Us Are Dead, Cho Yi Hyun is selected as the female lead in the upcoming K-drama Vampire Chef.

There's no stopping the rising star from achieving greater heights as she is set to portray a different character.

Cho Yi Hyun Offered to be Kang Mi Ro in Vampire Chef

In a report cited by Osen, Cho Yi Hyun's agency shared that the actress received the casting offer, but it is still "under discussion."

The forthcoming series is based on a popular webtoon that follows the story of a master chef named Hong Ki Joon, a half-vampire born from a human father and a vampire mother.

If Cho Yi Hyun confirms her appearance, she will take on the role of Kang Mi Ro, Hong Ki Joon's childhood friend and his first victim.

After years since he had his "first bite," the chef unexpectedly got reunited with Mi Ro after she visited the restaurant, not knowing that it was owned by Ki Joon.

The master chef couldn't forget how her blood tasted and after seeing her for the first time in 25 years, he plans to get a taste of her blood once again.

Following the news about Cho Yi Hyun's possible new drama, the male lead for the webtoon-based series is yet to be announced.

As mentioned by the outlet, Vampire Chef aims to start filming this March and is slated to premiere in the second half of 2022.

From Medical Intern in Hospital Playlist to Kickass Hambie in All of Us Are Dead

K-drama fans might recognize Cho Yi Hyun in several notable series like Hospital Playlist.

In the beloved medical K-drama, she took on the role of Jang Yoon Bok, a medical intern at Yulje Medical Center, joining the lead stars Jeon Mi Do, Yoo Yeon Seok, Jo Jung Suk, Jung Kyung Ho and Kim Dae Myung.

She reprised her role as the tvN series return for season 2.

Interestingly, Cho Yi Hyun was selected as one of the lead stars in the popular School series. Playing the character of Jin Ji Won, she worked with WEi's Kim Yo Han, Kim Kang Min, Choo Young Woo, Seo Hee Seon, and Hwang Bo Reum Byeol.

Just weeks after the School 2021 series concluded, Cho Yi Hyun surprised the viewers with her impressive performance in All of Us are Dead, where she took the role of Hyosan High School's class president turned badass hambie Choi Nam Ra.

During her interview with iMBC, the 22–year-old actress admitted that her character in the Netflix series was one of the difficult roles she had to play.

According to the actress, it is different from the previous K-dramas that she did.

Interestingly to internalize Choi Nam Ra's character, she took inspiration in the Hollywood movie Twilight and observed how the actors play their vampire roles.
