All of Us Are Dead Season 2 is now in the works for Netflix, according to director J.Q. Lee's IMDb page, as first reported by Small-screen.co.uk. Based on the webtoon Now at Our School by Joo Dong-geun, the hit South Korean zombie series premiered on Netflix on January 28, 2022 with 12 episodes that each ran about an hour-long, and it dominated the streamer's global Top 10 charts for weeks, following the massive success of last year's Squid Game.

Netflix hasn't revealed any plot or casting details for All of Us Are Dead Season 2 yet, but if you've watched the finale of Season 1, it looks like the next season will deal with the aftermath of the bombings and focus more on the half-zombies or "hambies".

In the finale of Season 1, the surviving students met on the rooftop of their high-school, and they were surprised to discover that Choi Nam-ra (played by Cho Yi-hyun), their class president was still alive as a "hambie", and she reveals that there are more people just like her and that she is helping them out, considering that they cannot return to the normal human civilization due to the possibility that they will be killed on sight.

Because of her unique condition, Nam-ra leaves the group as a loner once again after spending time with her friends for the last time. She's been a loner prior to the apocalyptic events, but the devastating events made her feel a part of a social group that's now forced to run due to her nature as a "hambie".

The final scene of Season 1 hints that its storyline could continue in the second season. The young survivors approach the ledge where Nam-ra jumped off, and their faces looked shocked as they see something off-camera. Audiences are left wondering what the main characters are seeing.
