Netflix original’s Hit Korean TV Show All of Us Are Dead is killing it worldwide as it hit global records and making it the current #1 TV show in different countries.

As fans demand a second season, the Director, Lee Jae Gyu had an interview with WIkitree and discussed a lot of confusing details about the hit TV series.

All of Us Are Dead follows the story of Hyosan High School Students as they navigate a zombie outbreak that is also inside their school’s science lab. Hyosan High School became the ground zero of the disease and the High School Students eagerly tried to stay alive and survive.

Director Jae Gyu shared his plans for the show’s second season and explained, “If season 1 continues to be popular in the long run, I think it will be the foothold for the second season." He continued to elaborate, "I personally want to make a season 2 but there is nothing solid or confirmed officially."

When asked about the plot of the second season, the director explained, “If season 1 showed a comparison and contrast in how adults and students survive the zombie apocalypse, I want to show the comparison between the surviving human group and the zombie group in season 2."

Lee Cheong San, one of the lead characters of the series shocked everyone on the 11th episode, where he fell in the abandoned building together with the bully, Gwi-Nam who is also the main antagonist of the film. The military blew the school for being the ground zero of the zombie outbreak and the abandoned building was burned and Cheong San and Gwi-Nam as it appears were confirmed dead.

The director killing the main character seems questionable to the fans and many are asking if Cheong San has a possibility to make a comeback for the second season. Lee Jae Gyu clarified, "If Cheong San were to come alive, I think there will be viewers who won't be able to accept that but also there are going to be fans who are happy about it. We have a definite plan, but it's difficult to share it here, now."

He also shared, "I do have a vague picture that I drew out imagining what would happen if all the other actors, including Cheong San, were to appear in Season 2. I definitely want to add more plot twists than season 1."

As the director of the series, even he cannot contain his feelings when the main character died, the director shared, "When I was watching Cheong San die through the monitor, I cried a lot. It really hurt my heart that he made the choice he did when he was a kid who oppressed his inner feelings. I was proud of him but also so sad when he said, 'I am the happiest guy in this school,' as he comforted himself."

Netflix hasn’t yet revealed any confirmation with All of Us Are Dead’s second season, but the show is now streaming on Netflix with 12 episodes.
