In Netflix's coming-of-age K-drama, the main characters try to survive a zombie apocalypse at school. Some of them are killed in their journey to escape the outbreak, but are open-ended questions that could lead to a storyline for Season 2. Now, Yoon Chan-young reveals that he doesn't know what happens to his character.

In All of Us Are Dead, Yoon's character became a main protagonist for his heroic bravery and overall storyline. It turns out that he has been in love with On-jo since they were children, but never had the courage to let her know. When the Jonas virus breaks out at school, he and the other students make it their mission to protect each other from the zombies in their school.

In Episode 11 of All of Us Are Dead, Cheong-san faces a tragic end when Gwi-nam (Yoo In-soo) bites him, infecting him of the Jonas Virus. Realizing this, he gives On-jo his name tag to hold on to.

In an effort to save his friends from the government's bombing of his high-school, Cheong-san lures the zombies through the construction site, clearing a path for them. As Gwi-nam returns to attack Cheong-san, the town is bombed, and we only see On-jo's name tag among the ash and rubble.

In a recent interview with Soompi, Yoon detailed how he was cast in the zombie thriller and his character's fate after the finale. Fans were quick to speculate that his character, Cheong-san, somehow survived the bombing. Fans theorized that Cheong-san survived as he was not seen becoming a zombie before his supposed death (You can read more about the theories here).

“I was actually asked about whether Cheong-san died or not in another interview recently. To be honest, I don’t know. I haven’t heard about what happens next, and nothing has been decided yet. Personally, I’d like to live. I’d like to be able to say things that I didn’t get to say,” said Yoon.

In the finale, the surviving students meet Nam-ra, who's now half-zombie or "hambie", at their high-school, and when she leaves, the characters looked stunned by what they're seeing off-camera.
