Following Episode 7’s release last week, Akiba Maid War announced that it is giving away a red baseball bat in a lottery to a lucky fan to honor Manami’s death.
In case you missed it, Episode 7 of the anime saw Manami’s gruesome death.
Manami is a legendary maid known as the "Crimson Supernova," and her weapon of choice is a red baseball bat.
Akiba Maid War – An Original Series About the (Literally) Cutthroat World of Maid Cafés
In case you’re unfamiliar with the show, Akiba Maid War is an anime series by Cygames and P.A. Works.
Unlike most of this season’s shows, the anime is an original work, meaning it isn’t based on an existing manga or light novel.
Though what’s interesting about it is that it’s produced by Cygames, a video game development studio that’s known for developing games such as Granblue Fantasy and Shadowverse.
This might mean Akiba Maid War will expand into more than just anime if it proves to be a hit.
Meanwhile, the series’ voice cast includes:
- Reina Kondou as Nagomi Wahira
- Rina Satou as Ranko Mannen
- Minami Tanaka as Yumechi
- Tomoyo Kurosawa as Shiipon
- Ayahi Takagi as Cafe Manager
The series is described as an adult-oriented anime about maids. It follows a group of maids in an Akihabara maid café.
These maids include Nagomi Wahira who moves to Tokyo to fulfill her dream of becoming a cute Akihabara maid.
She is joined by former Akiba maid Ranko Mannen, popular gyaru maid Shiipon, and twin-tailed ace maid Yumechi.
Instead of being a light and fun anime about maids in a maid café, it turns out that the show is a brutal series where gun and knife-wielding maids in Akihabara are embroiled in maid wars.

Baseball Bat Lottery in Honor of Manami
While Manami didn’t appear for long in the series, she will be remembered for her fiery and memorable presence.
To mark her death, the anime announced a special lottery for fans.
Specifically, this lottery will award a lucky fan with a custom red baseball bat that’s signed by Yurin, the voice actress of Manami in Akiba Maid War.
To join the giveaway, fans should retweet the campaign posts on the show’s official Twitter account. More details about the lottery can be read on the anime's official website too.
Manami may be gone, but one lucky fan will get to honor her memory with the custom baseball bat.
Though for fans who won’t win, they can still enjoy the next Akiba Maid War episode which will feature an intense baseball game between the maids.
