Is Yu Akeuchi an Alien?

Yes, Yu Akeuchi is an alien in Stardust Telepath, despite some initial speculations that she’s not, given her carefree and outgoing demeanor, which leaves the impression that she’s joking or dreaming of becoming one.

Umika Konoshoshi, Stardust Telepath’s main character, even had some suspicions about her in the first episodes of the anime.

She can’t believe that there’s an actual alien who lives among the humans, especially someone who studies with her at the same school.

Akeuchi debuted in the first episode of Stardust Telepath, claiming that her spaceship crashed, resulting in her late attendance at school. This caught Umika’s attention, and since then, she has been interested in Akeuchi.

Umika discovers that Akeuchi has the power to read other people’s emotions through forehead telepathy.

She demonstrated her power to Umika, reading her thoughts and emotions like tension, anxiety, surprise, impatience, and even her deep longing for all things that concern outer space.

In addition, Akeuchi also has superhuman physical abilities and mental strength. She can also teleport into Umika’s room anytime she likes!

Unfortunately, Yu Akeuchi doesn’t have any recollection of her time before she landed on Earth, which means she didn’t know what her true motive and mission were on Umika’s planet.

We are guessing that Akeuchi became the answer to Umika’s wish from a shooting star before the day they encountered each other.

Umika longs to befriend an alien so much that the universe gives her what she wants by sending Akeuchi to Earth.

For now, Akeuchi’s history is shrouded in mystery. She keeps a space voyage diary, but it doesn’t tell her the things she has to do on Earth.

She just happens to find herself in the abandoned lighthouse, which she now calls her base, with a high school student notebook by her side.

At first, Umika suspects that Akeuchi only disguised herself to look like Earthlings who came to Earth to finish her top-secret mission.

But she doesn’t believe that Akeuchi has bad motives for why she came to Earth; the same goes for Haruno and Matataki.

So far, Yu Akeuchi is still on Earth, trying to find ways to return to outer space with the help of her three good friends, Umika Konohoshi, Takagi Haruno, and Raimon Matataki.

Akeuchi stays in the same abandoned lighthouse, having an unexpected survivalist lifestyle, but from time to time, she stays and hangs out with Umika in her house.

It is unknown what Akeuchi’s planet is, but we’ll certainly be able to learn more about it by the time she can go home.

Umika, Takagi, and Raimo try their best to support Akeuchi. They all dream of going to space together, so they research everything about building rockets and spaceships, not only to finish what they started but also to help Akeuchi.

Will the four of them be able to go to outer space and visit Akeuchi’s planet?
