We all know for a fact that The Mandalorian is a force (no pun intended) to be reckoned with and this year, the beloved series is getting some serious reinforcement with the arrival of two new shows that also take place within the "MandoVerse" timeline. One of which is the upcoming project centered on Ahsoka Tano which hits Disney+ later this year.

Details surrounding the show have remained scarce but rumor has it that Ahsoka will serve as the continuation of Star Wars Rebels, and the characters featured on the show seem to confirm it. Now, it looks like the series has already been ordered an extension by Lucasfilm even before Season 1 drops.

Disney's first-quarter earnings report for 2023 (via The Direct) showcases all the projects fans can expect from the House of Mouse this year. Unsurprisingly, both Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew are listed on the release slate but it's quite intriguing how the Rosario Dawson-led show has the "Season 1" denotation and the latter doesn't.

While nothing has officially been confirmed by Lucasfilm, this seems to indicate that Ahsoka has already been greenlit for Season 2 while Skeleton Crew might end up being a limited series.

There have been persistent rumors that Pedro Pascal will eventually hand over the reins to Rosario when The Mandalorian closes its chapter. The idea of Ahsoka leading the MandoVerse in the near future no longer comes as a surprise but of course, it's still hard to tell at this rate. As for Skeleton Crew, despite all signs pointing to it only running for a single season, there's always a chance Lucasfilm could order a renewal depending of course on its reception.

Ahsoka is expected to hit Disney+ sometime this year.
