The MandoVerse has been home to several jaw-dropping cameos since its inception in 2019 and naturally, diehard fans of the Star Wars franchise are expecting the same level of surprises to take place in the upcoming Ahsoka series.

Rumor has it that the Rosario Dawson-led series will feature Hayden Christensen's return as Anakin Skywalker one year after he made his triumphant comeback in Obi-Wan Kenobi.

If we're being honest though, a cameo appearance from the would-be Darth Vader seems like a no-brainer creative decision for the project.

Well, here's where the fun begins. A hot new rumor claims that the upcoming show will mark the return of another Star Wars legacy character and it's someone you totally would not expect.

Ahsoka Series Reportedly Includes Mind-Blowing Cameo from Princess Leia

According to Twitter user @ScriptTrooper (via Bounding Into Comics), Princess Leia will make an appearance in Ahsoka. While the rumor came from a random Twitter account, the alleged source claims it's "seriously" happening.

The user added that Leia will play an integral role in bridging the gap between the MandoVerse and the sequel trilogy. He claims that her appearance "has to do with her forming the resistance in secret after the New Rep almost totally demilitarizes."

Of course, take this one with a huge grain of salt as always but the fact that Luke Skywalker has already made two appearances in the MandoVerse tells you that a Leia cameo isn't too farfetched.

If the rumor does end up happening, it'll be interesting to see if Lucasfilm recasts the character made iconic by the late Carrie Fisher. Obviously, they could easily utilize the same facial capture technology they've been using for years although it might seem like an overkill.

Ahsoka is set to hit Disney+ on August 23rd.
