Ahsoka: Mary Elizabeth Winstead's Mysterious Role Reportedly Revealed

The upcoming Star Wars series Ahsoka is not just going to be an Ahsoka Tano-centric story, but it will also feature the beloved Rebels characters in live-action as it follows up the events of the animated series. Some of the casting information is still being kept under wraps, but now a report has emerged regarding one of the cast members who may be playing a familiar character.

Prior to the production of the series, reports came that Birds of Prey star Mary Elizabeth Winstead is joining the cast of Ahsoka. However, at the time, the details regarding her role were unknown at that time. Now, it looks like we know who she'll be playing.

According to Bespin Bulletin, Winstead is playing Hera Syndulla, the beloved character from Rebels. Her casting in the role has been speculated ever since Lucasfilm revealed during the Star Wars Celebration event that the character is going to be part of the upcoming series.

So far, Lucasfilm has not confirmed this casting information yet so we still have to take it with a grain of salt. However, considering that Winstead's role hasn't been confirmed yet and we know that Hella is appearing in the series, it sounds very plausible that this news is accurate.

Assuming that it is indeed going to be the case, it is exciting to hear that Winstead is playing Hella since she is a wonderful actress, and this hints that she will have a major part in the series. While we don't know how exactly she'll play in the story, we can bet that she will be significant.

So far, besides Rosario Dawson reprising the role of Ahsoka, Natasha Liu Bordizzo and Eman Esfandi are also confirmed to play Sabine Wren and Ezra Bridger, respectively. Chopper is also set to appear in the series, but it is unknown if Dave Filoni will reprise the voice role.
