In less than a week, the highly-anticipated Star Wars live-action series Ahsoka will finally premiere on Disney+. Fans have been looking forward to seeing the titular character's next journey in the galaxy far, far away as well as the return of the main characters from Rebels.

However, the track record for the Star Wars TV shows has been a mixed bag lately. While Andor is being hailed as the best Star Wars series and received numerous accolades, the third season of The Mandalorian was not as well-received as the first two.

A lot of fans are hoping that Ahsoka will stir the franchise back in the right direction and deliver another satisfying addition to the Star Wars lore, especially given how beloved the titular character is.

Several critics and journalists were able to watch the first two episodes of Ahsoka in advance last night. Right after the premiere event, they were allowed to share their early reactions to the debut episodes on social media.

So far, the majority of the responses have been positive with praises towards its cinematic visuals, Dave Filoni's writing and direction, Natasha Liu Bordizzo's performance as Sabine Wren, the musical score, and the set-up to the subsequent episodes.

A lot of them noted that the first two episodes were able to successfully follow up on the events of Rebels and The Clone Wars while still making them accessible to those who have never seen the animated shows.

All of these early reactions sound very promising since it looks like fans will be able to enjoy the premiere episodes when it becomes available on Disney+ next week.

However, it should also be pointed out that these responses are exclusively for the first two episodes only and the reception might still change depending on where the series will go on the rest of its run.

The first two episodes of Ahsoka will premiere on Disney+ this Wednesday, August 23.
