Former Wonder Girls member Ahn So Hee will greet small screen viewers as she joins the cast of JTBC's new Kdrama Thirty, Nine.
On the 12th of August, Ahn So Hee's agency BH Entertainment confirmed that the actress would decorate the upcoming Kdrama alongside actresses Son Ye Jin, Jeon Mi Do, and Kim Ji Hyun.
Ahn So Hee recently performed as a talented hacker named Lee Jong-Ah in the 2020 OCN Kdrama Missing: The Other Side. Many viewers might have also known her as the cheerleader Jin Hee in the blockbuster Korean zombie film Train to Busan alongside Gong Yoo and Ma Dong Seok.
What is the plot of Kdrama Thirty, Nine?
The forthcoming Kdrama Thirty, Nine will depict the heartwarming stories of friendship between three 39-year-old women who encounter certain circumstances as they reach 40 years old.
The three met as second-year high school girls who will do anything to make their lives more interesting than before. As the girls create precious memories with each other, they altogether experience the wonders of life as they try to enjoy their lives as middle-aged women.

Ahn So Hee as Kim So Won in Kdrama Thirty, Nine
Ahn So Hee will breathe life into the role of Kim So Won, a pianist who seeks healing, comfort, and support which she will receive from Cha Mi Jo (Son Ye Jin). Kim So Won is the younger sister of Kim Sun Woo (Yeon Woo Jin) and is expected to offer relatable experiences to international viewers longing for moral support and encouragement to pursue a dream.

Ahn So Hee joins Son Ye Jin, Jeon Mi Do, and Kim Ji Hyun in Kdrama Thirty, Nine
Ahn So Hee will play the younger sister of Kim Sun Woo (Yeon Woo Jin). She will have a special connection with Son Ye Jin's character.
Son Ye Jin will play the role of Cha Mi-jo, the head of a dermatology clinic in Gangnam. Cha Mi-jo is a 39-year-old woman who is warm yet sometimes gives off a cool vibe as someone who grew up in a wealthy neighborhood between a caring father, a generous mother, and a well-natured sibling.

Jeon Mi Do will showcase her acting skills as Jung Chan-young. Her character dreams of becoming an actress. But as not everything goes well to plan, she ended up becoming an acting teacher instead. The viewers should bear in mind that although Jung Chan-young spits out spiteful and harsh words, her sincerity makes her a character that everyone cannot hate.
Finally, Kim Ji Hyun will take on the role of Jang Joo-hee, a Cosmetics Manager at a department store. Jang Joo-hee has a timid personality and has never had a proper experience in a romantic relationship.
When Will Kdrama Thirty, Nine release?
Thirty, Nine is set to premiere sometime in the first half of 2022. The imminent JTBC series is directed by Kim Sang-ho. Writer Yoo Young Ah, who also penned the Kdrama Encounter and the Korean film My Annoying Brother, will lend her creativity to the drama.
