Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is back in action following a midseason break. The team is about to face new dangers as the show is heading towards its big finale.
Now, to give fans a glimpse of the upcoming threats befalling the team, ABC has released a new clip showing fan-favorite villain, Carl “Crusher” Creel, a.k.a. The Absorbing Man about to threaten Coulson in an underground parking garage. Fortunately, Secret Warriors’ recruit, Lincoln, and Agent May arrive to take on Creel.
As seen on Television Promos on YouTube, Lincoln almost defeats The Absorbing Man with his daunting lightning powers, but the formidable nemesis is able to electricity-proof himself by turning his skin to rubber. Agent May comes to the rescue at the right moment with a metal rod and toward the end of the clip, it would seem that Lincoln needs some calming down to keep from killing the super villain.

I like how the clip highlights Creel's creativity in using his abilities during combat.
It remains to be known how the events from the clip will affect the rest of the season, but it appears Coulson and his Agents are in for a more dangerous future.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is up for a fourth season already, but it’s still unknown what the team and the franchise will be with the season 3 finale.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns to ABC next Tuesday with ‘The Inside Man’ at 9 p.m.
