Activision Blizzard has been under fire not only by the lawsuit filed against them by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing for honing a "frat boy" workplace culture with gender-based discrimination and sexual harassment. As an answer, the employees of the company plan to stage a walkout as their way of protest on Wednesday.

Following the company's response to the lawsuit saying "includes distorted, and in many cases false, descriptions of Blizzard's past," it did not sit well with the employees and they signed an open letter calling the response of Activision Blizzard "abhorrent and insulting," and they are calling for "a safe place to speak out and come forward."

After the letter went out to the public, the employees are in full protest that they announced in a statement of intent that they are not backing down and that they would be having an in-person walkout in front of the Blizzard campus main gate happening from 10 AM to 12 PM PT. On the same day, there would also be a virtual walkout from 9 AM to 6 PM PT where employees who could not join the in-person strike were invited to stop their work and have #ActiBlizzWalkout on social media.

The strike would be for the company to answer their demands of ending mandatory arbitration clauses in their contracts, diversity, and inclusion among their organization, publication of the rates of their compensation and promotion rates for all genders and ethnicities for fair promotion, and call for prevention on harassment and gender-based discrimination.

The organizers of the walkout did not forget to thank the support of the video gaming community and they were calling them to tweet #ActiBlizzWalkout as well along with a blue heart emoji. They also released a list of charities they plan to donate to.
