A Quiet Place Spin-Off Confirmed, John Krasinski to Produce

We're still waiting for A Quiet Place Part II but it looks like there are already interesting new plans for the film franchise. A spin-off is already in development and John Krasinski is set to produce the new movie.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, A Quiet Place is getting a spin-off that will be written and directed by Mud director Jeff Nichols. Krasinski, who came up with the idea for the new film, has been confirmed to produce via his Sunday Night banner. Other producers include Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller.

But what will happen in the spin-off movie? There is little doubt that fans are hoping it would feature Emily Blunt and the young stars who are already set to return in A Quiet Place Part II. However, there is a huge possibility that the project will introduce new characters and show a different side of what happened to the world when the mysterious creatures started terrorizing humanity. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

The synopsis for A Quiet Place Part II reads as follows:

"Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path."

A Quiet Place Part II was originally set to premiere in April this year but the sequel has been pushed back due to COVID-19. It is currently scheduled for release on April 23, 2021.
