A Quiet Place 2 Super Bowl Spot Teases Alien Backstory, John Krasinski's Return

There is little doubt that people are already looking forward to A Quiet Place: Part II and it looks like the latest teaser has a special treat for John Krasinski fans. The film's Super Bowl spot features some interesting new footage teasing the aliens' backstory as well as a quick glimpse at Krasinski's character.

The trailer opens with a flashback showing Lee Abbott (Krasinski) approaching a police officer asking what is happening. "Is it a fire?" he asks but the officer doesn't know. Just as the man is about to return to his police car, an alien suddenly runs into it, causing everyone including Lee to panic.

The scene appears to be connected to the opening sequence from the first official trailer where Lee's wife Evelyn (Emily Blunt) and their children are travelling in a car and looking for Lee. But will we learn more about the aliens as well? Hopefully, we'll get to see more of A Quiet Place 2 soon.

The synopsis for the film reads as follows:

"Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path."

A Quiet Place: Part II will also star Cillian Murphy. The sequel is scheduled for release on March 20.
