A New LEGO Star Wars Animated Series Will Follow A Family Across The Galaxy

A new LEGO Star Wars animated series is coming to Disney XD, and it's called LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures, a show that blends the unique humor of the LEGO brand and Star Wars!

The show will follow a family called The Freemakers, who build and sell ships from salvaged parts across the galaxy (They're LEGO characters, after all). Then one of their sons discovers an ancient artifact called a "Kyber Saber," and learns that he has a sensitivity to the Force, and this marks the beginning of the family's adventures. The Freemakers "are thrown into an epic struggle against the Empire to restore peace and freedom to the galaxy."

According to the show's producers, it follows the continuity of the canon but not canon.

And just in case you're wondering if the show will include actual characters from the movies, the official poster will answer that for you.

With Darth Vader and the Emperor on the image, it seems that the show takes place between Star Wars: EpisodesIII and IV.
