A Look At Rebecca Romijin Preparing For Mystique During The Original X-Men Trilogy

Though the character may be played by Jennifer Lawrence now, the original Mystique from the films was the very beautiful Rebecca Romijin. Romijin has just shared an old photo of her getting ready for her Mystique make-up, and her body look absolutely stunning.

Check it out:

Back in 2000, it was said that it took over 9 hours to apply all the different parts of the Mystique costume, and Romijin was prohibited from drinking or using skin creams, in fear that they will change her body chemistry and make the prosthetics fall off. It was said that original Nightcrawler Alan Cumming didn't want to appear in a sequel because of the daunting make-up process. You can only imagine how hard it was for Romijin who had to be covered full body.

Romijin may have put her X-Men days behind her, but a lot of comic fans will still remember X-Men for introducing the world to "serious" comic book films. The last appearance that Romijin had in the universe was a small cameo in X-Men: First Class, but you have to admit, her body looks a lot more slender back in 2000 compared to Jennifer Lawrence's.

As of now, the next X-Men movie slated to come out is Dark Phoenix, and it will once again try to cover Jean Grey as she tries to control the Phoenix Force. Here's the synopsis:

Jean Grey begins to develop incredible powers that corrupt and turn her into a Dark Phoenix. Now the X-Men will have to decide if the life of a team member is worth more than all the people living in the world.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix is slated for a release on Nov. 2, 2018.
