Fan like to think that James Gun has an idea for every creative ascpect of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, but as it turns out, he can draw inspiration from the most unlikely of sources. As it turns out, one of the songs from GOTG Vol. 2 was actually suggested by a fan.

No doubt, with the release of Vol. 3 in 2020, a lot of people are already throwing their suggestions at Gunn for what songs should be on the tracklist. One person even suggested that the movie should open with All Star by Smash Mouth, which I know is meme, but surprisingly fitting for a Guardians movie.
With the third film on the way, it's said that the soundtrack will be influenced by Yondu this time around. With Meredith Quill being the source of both songs for the first two Guardians films, I'm curious as to what kind of playlist would be influenced by someone like Yondu.
For now, Gunn is aiming for a release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 sometime in 2020. We don't know exactly what happens to all of the characters after Avengers 4, but I like to think that we'll get to see all our favorite Guardians come the third film.
