As some suspected, the character was supposed to be based on comic Green Lantern , Yalan Gur, and you can see a lot of similarities with the costume from the scales, to the boots and the cape.
It was said that the original cut of the film had a prolonged scene of the ancient battle with Steppenwolf, but with the head honchos at WB being said to have demanded that the film be under two hours, a lot of the movie was cut—that includes scenes with gods like Zeus and Artemis, as well as Wonder Woman's Antiope (Robin Wright).
Personally, I wasn't a fan of Justice League when it came out, and like a lot of fans, I wanted to see the original cut of the film that director Zack Snyder was planning to release. It doesn't look like we'll be getting it soon, but a lot of fans are remaining positive that we'll get the cut eventually.
Justice League is now available for home video.
