A Closer Look at Disneyland’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Nano Battle

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge may be coming to Disneyland this year, but that doesn't mean that the park has forgotten about their precious Marvel IP. After the success of Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout, we have a new look at Hong King Disneyland's upcoming ride, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Nano Battle.

The ride is said to be connected to the Iron Man experience and will have guests supposedly helping Ant-Man and the Wasp take on a swarm of robots from former HYDRA scientist Arnim Zola. Here's the official description for the ride:

The world's first Ant-Man and The Wasp attraction led by a female Super Hero, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Nano Battle! will be unveiling on March 31st! This will be Hong Kong Disneyland's 2nd Marvel-themed attraction, further transforming the park into Asia's epicenter of Marvel action. Besides getting a glimpse of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s latest tech, you'll also be joining forces with Ant-Man and the Wasp for an all-new heroic battle against Zola's evil Swarmbots! And of course, there will be plenty of new Marvel merchandise too!

What's cool is, Ant-Man and the Wasp stars Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly have also shot some special material unique to the ride, and t should be pretty fun for guests to see how they interact with each other. Even the Guardians ride was able to get participation from the original actors.

For now, it seems that Disney is slowly building up to an all-Marvel theme park, but it looks like Star Wars is in the priority. If Galaxy's Edge manages to take off though, I wonder what kind of special rides they have in store for a Marvel park. Personally I'd love to visit a Captain America museum or travel into multiple dimensions a la Doctor Strange.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Nano Battle comes to Hong Kong Disneyland on March 31.
