Squid Game: More Behind-the-Scenes Photos from Netflix

Netflix's Squid Game is now the most popular original series for the streaming platform, and it's the first k-drama ever to claim the #1 spot on U.S. Netflix charts, with one in four Americans already experienced the deadly tale of Seong Gi-Hun and his fellow players which sees them participate in dangerous children's games for a chance to win $45.6 billion won ($38 million USD).

Now, Netflix has shared more behind-the-scenes photos featuring the actors and creative minds of Squid Game, and writer/director Hwang Dong-hyuk, giving us an interesting look at the set with blue screens and costumed guards who remind us of PlayStation controllers. Many fans are already planning to wear these pink and green outfits for Halloween.

Check out these behind-the-scene Squid Game photos from Netflix, but warning: some of these photos may break your immersion to the show's story.

Netflix previously also shared a behind-the-scenes video for Squid Game, which you can watch here:

Netflix hasn't announced any plans for a sequel yet, but given the show's massive success and popularity, it's likely that the company will green-light Squid Game Season 2. However, it depends on Hwang Dong-hyuk since the filmmaker is also busy working on other projects. The director told Variety that he doesn't have film plans for a second season.

"I don't have well-developed plans for Squid Game 2, it is quite tiring just thinking about it. But if I were to do it, I would certainly not do it alone. I'd consider using a writers' room and would want multiple experienced directors."

If you're not familiar with the series, Netflix has shared an official description for Squid Game:

"Hundreds of cash-strapped players accept a strange invitation to compete in children's games. Inside, a tempting prize awaits with deadly high stakes."
