8TURN member Myung Ho denied the allegations that he bullied his high school classmate in the past.

More K-pop idols have been subject to bullying allegations in the past years. While some have been proven true and resulted in the dismissal of the idols, others also suffered because of baseless rumors.

Myung Ho, a member of the K-pop boy group 8TURN, became the latest subject of the new allegation, and he and his agency have since responded to the claims.

8TURN’s Myung Ho, Agency Deny Bullying Allegations

Korean news outlets OSEN and Star News reported that Myung Ho’s alleged high school classmate, referred to as A, posted online that Myung Ho and his friends bullied them and called them using degrading words.

The incident reportedly happened seven years ago, but A reportedly has not received an apology from Myung Ho. The alleged victim added that they are still receiving treatment due to lingering panic disorder.

Following the report, Myung Ho and 8TURN’s agency, MNH Entertainment, released a statement to address the issue. The company posted the notice on the K-pop boy group’s fan café, saying it would launch legal action against people who post and share malicious comments about its artists.

“After confirming the information and cross-verifying the facts through various sources, it is clear that the content posted online is false, which is damaging the reputation of our artist,” the agency said. “Therefore, we are currently taking legal action by requesting a legal representative to protect our artists from malicious posts such as defamation, malicious slander, and the spread of false information.”

MNH Entertainment pledged to protect its artists.

Myung Ho Debuts With 8TURN Recently

The bullying allegation against Myung Ho surfaced following 8TURN’s debut.

The eight-member boy group formally started its career on Jan. 30 with its first mini-album, 8TURNRISE. The group was previously called BOM, an acronym for Boys of MNH.

MNH Entertainment formally introduced its members on Oct. 11 through a vlog in Japan. It is composed of Myung Ho, Jaeyun, Minho, Yoonsung, Haemin, Kyungmin, Yungyu, and Seungheon.
