It was a piece of good news to fans and supporters of 2PM and its youngest member, Chansung, as the idol-actor becomes a father.

On July 26, a representative from L’July Entertainment, the agency handling Chansung and his activities, confirmed that his wife recently gave birth to a healthy daughter. Both the mother and the baby are in good condition now.

2PM Chansung And His Marriage

Last December 2021, Chansung confirmed his engagement and fiance’s pregnancy through a handwritten letter. He also revealed that his beloved is not a celebrity and is eight years older than him.

At that time, he said, “While preparing and planning for our marriage after being discharged from the military, a new life has blessed us earlier than expected. We are now intending to get married as early as next year.”

However, it was recently announced that the ceremony would be postponed owing to the COVID-19 outbreak.

2PM Chansung And His Career As An Idol And Actor

Hwang Chansung, solely known by his stage name Chansung, debuted as a member of the JYP Entertainment boy group 2PM in 2008.

Throughout his career, he has also been active as an actor, with appearances in the sitcom High Kick! and Kdramas such as 7th Grade Civil Servant, My Horrible Boss, Dr. Romantic, What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?, So I Married The Anti Fan, and Show Window: The Queen’s House.

On the other hand, Chansung departed with JYP Entertainment in March 2022 after 15 years of being under the top three agencies in the whole Kpop industry. He had signed an exclusive contract with L’July Entertainment the following week to resume his acting endeavours.
