Star Wars: The Last Jedi Reshoots Hinted by Casting Call

While news of casting calls for the next movie, Star Wars 9, have started to circulate online, there's another casting call that brings more alarming news.

Project Casting has spotted Universal Extras Casting, the casting director for Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi, supposedly casting for extras and walk-on roles. And the date for the calls will begin on March in Edinburgh and Scotland, Ireland.

There are no special requirements for the job. anyone can join so long as they are over 16 years old and legally allowed to work in the UK. It's also preferred that they have "easy access to Edinburgh or the surrounding areas for filming."

This casting call may be hinting further at the possibility of Carrie Fisher's role being cut from Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Movie Web reported. There doesn't seem to be any mention of the main cast being in the reshoots, but if the scenes for Fisher's Leia Organa for the next movie Star Wars 9 are in question, this new movie may be a workaround to remedy it.

Hopefully, the awaited trailer at the Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, Florida will provide a few more clues to the state of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. We've already heard whispers that those who will be attending will see a few money shots involving Mark Hamill's Luke Skywalker compared to the more public trailer dropping sometime after the event.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi will premiere on Dec. 15.
