This is How Avengers: Infinity War Will Include All Its Superheroes

Much of the worry--or excitement, depending on where you're looking at it--that's related to Avengers: Infinity War is the sheer number of cast members included.

Recent casting updates and rumors suggests that even the Avengers who have been there from the very beginning like Iron Man and Thor, as well as Nick Fury will all be in the ensemble movie.

But with the excitement of seeing a lot of the cast members is the worry that the story may be overshadowed by a star-studded cast. Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige confirmed in an interview with Mama Smiths that this won't be the case.

"As with all of the connectivity between our characters on various films, you have to be careful about it. We never want it to just seem like characters are popping their heads out of windows and saying ‘Hello' and then going back in. Believe me, it'd be easier to do it that way, but it wouldn't be as satisfying. So a big role, a small role, regardless of the actual screen time that any single character has--and I think you've seen this in the Avengers films and in Civil War last year--it'll be very meaningful and very important to the story that we're telling. That film is shooting right now and we've already shot a lot of those interactions, and it's very exciting."

Perhaps part of the magic is in the directors. I'm personally still reeling from how the Russo brothers handled the direction of Captain America: Civil War. Granted that they have quite the experience in directing an ensemble cast, I've no doubt that they would do the same, if not better, for the blockbuster movie.

Avengers: Infinity War will be out in theaters on May 2018, with the untitled sequel set the year after on May 2019.
