The New Star Wars: The Last Jedi Art Confirms The First Order is Building A 3rd Death Star

There was no Death Star in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but the First Order used the Starkiller Base, which is capable of more obliteration than the moon-sized planets we've seen in the Original Trilogy. Fans have been wondering if there will be a new Death Star or something that resembles it in The Last Jedi, and it looks like a new image has confirmed that there will be.

The art comes from a packaging of one of the Last Jedi toys, and it shows Kylo Ren's Fighter ship flying away from the Death Star. Given Ren's obsession with his grandfather, it would make sense if he built a new Death Star as his home. The one featured in the image resembles more of the classic look from the Original Trilogy, and less like the Starkiller Base from The Force Awakens. Check out the box art:

It's possible that the Death Star was added there just to make the packaging spicier but it won't actually show up in the film. After all, director Rian Johnson recently said that the Star Wars toys won't spoil anything from the film. Even if this turns out to be true, I don't think it's considered a huge spoiler.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set to hit theaters on December 15, 2017.
