Rian Johnson Says Star Ways Toys Won’t Spoil The Last Jedi

Force Friday is on its way and there has been a number of Star Wars toy leaks giving fans their first look at some of the characters appearing in Lucasfilm's upcoming sequel trilogy installment, The Last Jedi. Not only are there toys featuring the mysterious Supreme Leader Snoke, there are also toys that give fans a look at the First Order Leader's Praetorian Guards, the First Order's version of BB-8, and the First Order Judicial.

Despite all this information, Star Wars director Rian Johnson promises fan's fears that toys coming out of Force Friday II would spoil The Last Jedi. Though everyone will get to see what the different characters and ships actually look like, the merchandise won't give away anything much beyond that.

Sure the toys might come with a few lines and phrases from the movie, but these won't really reveal much about The Last Jedi's plot. Though toy companies are given enough info to help sell their merchandise, Lucasfilm doesn't reveal any of its films' major plotlines.

Johnson's comments on Force Friday II's potential spoilers however don't really jive with his comments earlier this month, telling fans to avoid leaks till The Last Jedi premieres later this year. Then again, fans can't really keep away from a wave of exciting merch.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi premieres December 15, 2017.
