Justice League Comics Lands Lobo as Ally

Lobo is best known as the badass of the DC Comics universe—as if his space hogs, stogie, and vest and bike combo aren't enough to go by.

However, a new development in the DC Comics franchise may see the Main Man playing a bigger role: a member of the Justice League. Screenrant has caught up with the latest Justice League vs. Suicide Squad #6, where the grand ending and potentially grand new beginning.

In the latest issue, we see Lobo being indebted to Batman after he was saved from the mind manipulation of Maxwell Lord. Granted, the way the Dark Knight saved him wasn't a very appealing one—his head got blown to bits thanks to a brain-bomb from Suicide Squad's stash—but he managed to resurrect himself.

As everything settles down with the heroes on the winning end of the spectrum, Lobo drops the bomb by telling Batman that the Main Man is giving the latter a "freebie" job on his honor. Batman has the best comeback, as you'd expect:

"I already have a job for you. You'll join the Justice League."

Lobo tried to put up a fight, but a tug-of-war between his honor and heart for bounty hunting, I guess there's a reason why he's called the Main Man.

Now my biggest concern is how this could influence what's happening in the DC films department. A Lobo movie has already been in the works way back after the project landed Wonder Woman's scriptwriter Jason Fuchs to do an overhaul of the movie's story. While there haven't been a lot of updates with the Lobo movie project, his inclusion to the Justice League in the comics can be an interesting direction for the actual movie.
