Game of Thrones’ Maisie Williams to Give Arya Role Justice to the End

If there was one show that reaped consistent viewership and narrative, it would have to be Game of Thrones. It had remained consistent, and even went more in depth after we got over the initial shock of its contents back in the first season.

However, Game of Thrones is nearing an end, with two more seasons expected to cap off the show. It's not surprising that some of its cast members would feel that a big chunk of their life would change, as with the case of Arya actress Maisie Williams.

In an interview with ET Online, the actress shared that she is both nervous but also excited about filming the last few scenes as Arya Stark.

"It's been my security blanket and it's been a safety net. If I haven't worked, or if I haven't landed a role, I never beat myself up too much, because I've always got Game of Thrones. To not have that around is going to be really strange, but it's also really exciting. It means I can now shape my career and I'm not tied down to anything, and I can really make bold decisions."

According to Williams, her goal from now until she films those last scenes is to give justice to the beloved role of the brave Stark girl.

"I'm just trying to shape Arya the way that I have been so far, and give her a nice arc to end with, and hope the people are happy with it."

Arya is pretty much one of the favorites, mostly because her character—alongside the other Starks—have seen a lot of growth for the past six seasons. And we've already seen her capabilities beyond being Needle-wielder. She's the only Stark who's pretty much killed someone deliberately, for revenge, and in cold blood.

I'd say Maisie has already given a lot in terms of showing us that Arya can be the insane boss we thought she could be back in season 1. Now closing off the show with her still wielding what makes her Arya Stark would be the challenge for the actress.

Game of Thrones will be back on HBO this summer.
