Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 Concept Art Shows New Looks for Ego & Ayesha

As with a lot of the recent Marvel movies, right after we've seen the movie perform pretty well in theaters, the early concept artworks come out to show us what has changed during production.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is not exempted from this practice. Two characters whom we were only introduced to in the sequel actually had a few changes from the time they were conceptualized to the final cut.

The first one is Ayesha, the High Priestess of the Sovereign. Granted, her look is still very regal and very much gold in the final cut, she had a few more frills—and a lot more servants in the concept art from Kevin Chen. Ayesha had a few headdress changes as well, in the concept art courtesy of Gloria Shih, and we see a lot more detail in terms of her outfit.

The other character who changed a little bit in terms of the costume was none other than Ego himself. Portrayed by Kurt Russell, Ego already looked a lot like his final cut self, since the renders were in Russell's likeness.

However, the difference was in his costume. Instead of looking much more from Earth when he first appeared during those first few moments, Russell actually looked a little more of a spaceman, almost like a Ravager with the all leather ensemble.

Sadly, it's hard to see him as less sinister now, after knowing how his plan played out in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is already out in theaters, and has racked impressive figures for sales in the box office.
