Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Series Will Have a New Novel

Boruto may be Masashi Kishimoto's next Naruto. That's because fans won't be seeing an end to the current run of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations just yet.

According to Comicbook.com, the mangaka is already hard at work on another new story for a second novel. This time, the new arc will be all about the Academy life, where Boruto will finally attend ninja academy with the other characters.

Ko Shigenobu is charged with continuing writing for the series, as this will be his second book in the franchise. So far, there's no synopsis yet on just what will truly be the focus for Boruto's upcoming academy life. Now the question is whether the anime will continue and pick up the succeeding events in Boruto's life for animation.

The anime currently follows Boruto's life going back to school. For the most part, compared to Naruto, the Boruto series has a lot more modern twist. Such as in the case of the anime, wherein viewers are shown the life in Konoha. But based on this episode, it feels like the anime has yet to truly go into its main arc, which involves the demonic possession that hasn't really been touched on directly with recent episodes.

The Boruto series' new novel will be released on July 4.
