Final Fantasy XV June Update Brings Rugged Regalia

The Regalia is up for another makeover this June. As part of the latest update for Final Fantasy XV, Square Enix has announced that the update will bring a new facade to the boys' favorite toy.

As per Square Enix's announcement (translated by Gematsu), the update will roll out the Regalia Type-D, which is supposed to be an off-road look and customization for the Regalia. This will give the Regalia a more rugged appeal and function, allowing for better driving away from paved roads and onto the bigger vastlands in Final Fantasy XV. It seems that the Regalia Type-D can even jump.

Apart from the Regalia, Square Enix also confirmed that the DLC for Prompto will arrive this month as well. Episode Prompto is the second main DLC that focuses on the characters, with Ignis being the last companion to have his own DLC expansion. Naoshi Mizuta is already signed on as the composer for the theme of Prompto's episode. Finally, also launching later this month is Cup Noodle Star collaboration equipment.

Square Enix has been inclusive of fans' ideas when it comes to the content of updates. There was a survey that came with the May update, which asked players what they would want to be included in the future updates. There's still the end of the month to submit your requests, if you haven't already.

Final Fantasy XV is available on the PS4 and Xbox One.
