Maki has lost, and Ogi drags the injured twins to a room filled with grade 2 and lower curses. While he drags them to the room, he starts insulting them—saying that they were the ones who held him back from being the head of the clan. In this situation, we continue to witness the cruelty of the Zenin family. They're definitely one of the worst families I've ever seen.

Mai checks Maki's heartbeat and is relieved to know that she's still alive. Mai has already long expected that something like this would happen to the two of them. The scenery then switches to the beachside. Mai reminds a now conscious Maki about her cursed technique. She tells her that after she uses it, she'll die. Mai explains that twins in the jujutsu context are treated as one—Maki will never be able to reach her full potential since Mai doesn't want to get stronger. Before they part ways, Mai tells Maki to destroy everything.

Maki sees that Mai has died. Ogi senses from outside that the curses in the room have all vanished. His eyes widened in fear upon the sight of Maki, who strongly reminded him of Toji at that point. After telling Maki to fight him once more, she slashes his face with the weapon that Mai left for her.
