I swear that half the time things happen in this series just so that Wit Studio can show off how pretty they can make it look!
We’re now up to the halfway mark of the hit sci-fi anime series Vivy Flourite Eye’s Song. The AI island has been disabled, but the AI units on the island are going haywire suddenly rather than shutting down! That’s when the truth is revealed about the doctor… which leads to another truth and his history with AI units.
Releasing on Saturdays, you can expect the next episode of this series to air on Saturday, May 8th.
Vivy: Flourite Eye’s Song airs at 11:30 pm Japan Standard Time, which means it will stream on Funimation outside of Japan at or around the following times around the world:
Pacific Time: 7:30 am
Central Time: 9:30 am
Eastern Time: 10:30 am
British Time: 3:30 pm
I’ve said it before and I’m going to keep saying it until everyone knows this fact; Vivy is by far the best-looking series this season. I won’t go as far as to say that it’s the best of the year (so far) but it’s pretty high up there. Wit Studio is obviously putting a lot of care into how this series looks, and it shows week after week.
More than that, though, Vivy is telling one of the best and time-sensitive stories of the season. It’s a harrowing tale about the dangers of advancing our society and technology beyond where we’re ready to have it. It’s Hatsune Miku meets The Terminator, and I’m loving every last second of it!
Vivy is just one of those special series that makes you glad that you’re an anime fan. Those series don’t come along very often, but when they do, you’re able to spot them from a mile away because they’re generally laser-focused on your brainpan. If you haven’t picked up Vivy yet, I can’t urge you enough to give it a real chance!
