Zack Snyder's Justice League made waves ever since it was released last March 2021. It has united fans across the world to form a new movement called #RestoretheSnyderverse and it seems to be showing no signs of stopping. In fact, even after months of being released on HBO Max, Snyder's cut of the infamous DC film is still making records.
OfficialCharts.com reported that Zack Snyder's Justice League returns to the top spot after having a close run with Godzilla vs. Kong. The Official Charts Company is a venture of two trade associations namely the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) which represents the British recorded music business and the Entertainment Retailers Association (ERA) which represents digital and physical retailers, including audio and video streaming services.
Snyder's Justice League has a gap of 550 sales versus Godzilla vs Kong. The film gets its fifth week at the top. It has to be noted that it is the film's fifth non-consecutive week at the top as there were times when new releases went on top of the charts. This week saw the Snyder film as the biggest seller when it comes to digital downloads.
Other contenders include A Quiet Place at number 3 as fans are catching up with the original which followed the sequel's release in the cinemas. Tom & Jerry: The Movie takes the fourth spot, Raya and The Last Dragon hold the fifth spot, and Wonder Woman 1984 takes the sixth spot in this week's chart.
Snyder's Justice League has made its mark in the industry due to the nature of how it was released. The 2017 version of the film which was directed by Joss Whedon has been heavily criticized, with many issues arising behind the scenes. As of the moment, WB hasn't budged or responded on whether the calls for the restoration of the Snyderverse will yield into having Snyder back in DC or if it is simply a journey with no destination.
Zack Snyder's Justice League is currently available for streaming on HBO Max.
