Despite its staggering 4-hour runtime, Zack Snyder's Justice League wasn't able to include every single detail the director wanted to highlight and according to Snyder himself, Warner Bros. had to do some meddling which prevented his vision from becoming fully realized. To be fair, it didn't feel like the film was missing something considering how well they crafted it but if Zack truly had his way with things, I would've finally united the League together.

According to Zack himself, original plans called for John Stewart aka Green Lantern to be part of the film in an epic cameo sequence. As it turns out, Stewart was supposed to be the guy Bruce Wayne meets in the epilogue but after WB turned down his request to use the character, it was later changed to Martian Manhunter who I think is still a pretty solid choice.

Apparently, Snyder was able to film Wayne T. Carr's supposed cameo in the film in his garage but we all know the footage was blocked by WB from getting into the final cut. Now, after much fanfare, Snyder finally gave DCEU fans the first official look at Carr as the John Stewart version of Green Lantern. At a recent screening for his upcoming Netflix project Army of the Dead, the ever-so-controversial director unveiled what the actor looked like in his GL costume. Check it out here:

With the studio obviously restricting the director, it will be interesting to see if we'll ever get to lay our eyes on the alternate scene or if Snyder and his crew were even able to finish editing it. My guess is yes, they were actually able to finish the entire sequence in post-production and maybe, just maybe we'll get to actually see it in the future. Oh, what could have been.

Zack Snyder's Justice League is available for streaming on HBO Max.
