Aside from raking recognitions and achievements, he is also a screenwriter and director.
Yoo Ji Tae directed and penned the short film Invitation with Uhm Ji Won and the romance fantasy indie film Out of My Intention.
However, before being an in-demand actor, Yoo Ji Tae started as a model, where he met his wife.

As obtained by AllKpop, the 46-year-old recalled the time when he first met Lost star Kim Hyo Jin.
It was during a commercial for a clothing brand as the duo began their career as a model.
During his appearance with You Quiz on the Block, he said he "felt a good feeling" after meeting Kim Hyo Jin.
"After that, we lived our separate lives for a while, and we started dating after I asked her, 'What do you think about dating me?' She already knew a lot about me at that time," he detailed.
Interestingly, he was too shy to ask her out on a date and revealed that there was one person that she "wanted to be introduced to."

Lo and behold, the universe conspired, and they ended up dating in 2006.
After five years, Yoo Ji Tae put a ring on it in 2011 and got married in the same year at Shilla Hotel in Seoul.
Now, the celebrity couple has two adorable sons. The eldest was born in 2014, followed by their youngest in 2019.
