One of the burning questions that Yellowstone fans have is the fate of the family black sheep Jamie Dutton in the future of the series.
There have been speculations for the past few years that the fan-favorite character might bite the dust at some point considering the tumultuous journey that he had and how his life has been consistently threatened.
Will Jamie Dutton Die in Yellowstone Season 5B?
In a recent interview, Wes Bentley reflected on his portrayal of Jamie Dutton and addressed whether his character will meet his demise at some point.
While he didn't say whether Jamie will be killed off soon, he admitted that he has presumed in the past that his character would die earlier in the run.
"I thought Jamie was going to be killed off in Season 2. I was waiting for that dreaded script to come along [saying] that Jamie would be gone, because it just felt like that kind of a character," the actor said.
"That’s been the journey the entire time and I don’t want to say anything about this season, but it was no different. I was sitting there like, ‘Am I still here?’"
Bentley hinted in his remarks that Jamie is in danger of facing his demise this season, which is something that fans should look forward to for the rest of the run as the story unfolds.
After all, this season is set to be the final one and we know from any show's last season that anything can happen and a major character is in danger of meeting his final breath at some point.
What Happened to Jamie Dutton in Yellowstone Season 5B Premiere?
Fortunately for fans, Jamie Dutton did not meet his demise during the recently aired season 5B premiere.
However, it was an emotional episode for the character as his father John was found dead (as part of addressing Kevin Costner's exit from the series).
Jamie announced to the public during a tearful press conference that John had passed away. His death was ruled as a suicide.
While it was an emotional journey for the character, it is pretty clear that the rest of the season will be strongly tumultuous and it is interesting how it all plays out in its final episodes.
