A new season of Taylor Sheridan's western will premiere in just a few months. When the show returns, fans will be treated to more episodes than ever before. Here's all we know about Yellowstone Season 5 so far.

Yellowstone Season 5 release date

It took a whopping 15 months from the spectacular Season 3 finale to the Season 4 premiere. The good news for Yellowstone fans is that the off-season will be much shorter.

Yellowstone Season 5 will premiere on the Paramount Network on Sunday, Nov. 13. That's only 10 months after the Season 4 finale, which drew a massive 15 million viewers.

Furthermore, the first half of Yellowstone Season 5 will double as the premiere for Sheridan's new series, The Tulsa King, starring Sylvester Stallone. After the Yellowstone episodes, the mob drama will air on the Paramount Network for the first half of Season 5 before transferring to the streaming service Paramount+.

Yellowstone Season 5 will be the longest yet

Yellowstone's first four seasons had no more than 10 episodes, but that will change in Season 5. The upcoming season will be massive — and it will be divided into two halves. Season 5 will feature 14 episodes, divided into two halves of seven episodes each and a short break in the middle.

Kevin Costner reprises his role as rancher John Dutton, and filming began in mid-May. Luke Grimes (Kayce Dutton), Kelly Reilly (Beth Dutton), and Wes Bentley (Wes Bentley) join him (Jamie Dutton).

Cole Hauser (Rip Wheeler), Kelsey Asbille (Monica Dutton), Brecken Merrill (Tate Dutton), Jefferson White (Jimmy Hurdstrom), Forrie Smith (Lloyd Pierce), Gil Birmingham (Chief Thomas Rainwater), Denim Richards (Colby), Ian Bohen (Ryan), Ryan Bingham (Walker), and Finn Little (Carter) are among the returning cast members.

Jen Landon (Teeter) and Kathryn Kelly (Emily) have both been promoted to series regulars in Yellowstone Season 5.

More Taylor Sheridan shows

When Yellowstone takes a mid-season break, there will be plenty of Dutton stories for viewers to savor. During the main series' hiatus, the prequel 1883, which introduced fans to the first Dutton generation to settle in Montana, will return for "additional episodes."

Then, when Yellowstone Season 5 returns for the second installment, the Paramount Network debuts the next sequel, 1932. Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren will star in the series. It will also follow a new generation of Duttons "during the time of western expansion, pandemics, Prohibition, and the Great Depression."

Yellowstone Seasons 1–4 are now available on Peacock.
