It has been a long wait for any update on FX on Hulu's Y: The Last Man. Luckily, we might be one step closer to seeing Yorick Brown and Ampersand in action. The first moody teaser for the upcoming live-action series adaptation has just been dropped.
The teaser pretty much explains the premise of Y: The Last Man. A woman confirms that half of the population was gone in just one day. We get to see the statistics as the male population is cut down in one fell swoop.
However, it is also confirmed that men didn't go extinct. As we see silhouetted women lining up, a man and his monkey stand alone in the middle.
The Y: The Last Man teaser doesn't reveal too much and doesn't even have any footage from the series itself. However, there's a huge possibility that we'll be getting a proper trailer in the next few weeks.
Y: The Last Man is based on the Vertigo comic book series by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra. The show will star Ben Schnetzer as Yorick, Diane Lane as Congresswoman Jennifer Brown, Ashley Romans as Agent 355, Diana Bang as Dr. Allison Mann, and Olivia Thirlby as Hero Brown.
The synopsis for Y: The Last Man reads as follows:
Y: The Last Man will premiere on FX on Hulu on September 13, 2021.
